Teaching Assistant

Richard Bonington Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Grade 2 Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting SEND pupils. Initially this is to support other staff with a pupil’s health, physical and hygiene needs, including the use of specialist equipment where necessary for half a day.  The other half of the day will be to work with other children with SEND needs, who need support to access the classroom and the curriculum. 

This is a fixed term appointment of 32 hours per week, term time only, to start on 4th November 2024 until 29th July 2025. The hours are 8.30am – 4pm.   

We need someone who:   

• Is positive and caring with an inclusive approach to supporting our pupils both individually and in small groups.

• Preferably has experience of supporting pupils in a class environment  
• Is committed to developing the full potential of all children 
• Has good interpersonal skills and a friendly approach to staff and pupils  
• Will be a friendly, reliable and flexible team member
